editor — text editorSYNOPSIS
editor | [file] |
DESCRIPTION
editor is a text editor with basic editing functionality. It generally behaves like a GUI editor as opposed to common terminal editors. The file named by the file argument is loaded if specified. It quits when Ctrl-Q is typed. Text can be selected by holding the Shift key and moving the cursor. It supports these keyboard shortcuts:- Ctrl-C
- Copy.
- Ctrl-F
- Search for a regular expression.
- Ctrl-G
- Go to line.
- Ctrl-K
- Cut.
- Ctrl-O
- Open file.
- Ctrl-Q
- Quit.
- Ctrl-S
- Save file.
- Ctrl-V
- Paste.
- language [none | c | c++ | diff]
- Select syntax highlighting.
- line-numbering [on | off]
- Line numbering.
- margin column-index
- Display right margin at column-index.
- popen shell-command
- Open new file containing output of running shell-command.
- tabsize tab-size
- Select tab size.
